Intent
Engineering: To equip students with the necessary engineering knowledge and confidence so that they can inform their career choices.
STEM: Develop an understanding of design, materials and an appreciation of the world around us so that they value resources and reduce waste.
Welcome to the Engineering and STEM Department:
In STEM students gain the skills to take them into STEM employment, for example problem solving and also to prepare them for the Engineering course at KS4. Within the department there is now more hands-on use of CAD CAM and other technology.
What are we most proud of?
The resilience and pride of the students when they are in the workshop using tools and machines to create a product and their endeavours when learning CAD and CAM in the STEM lab.
